Managing Account Types as Super Admin

This article explains how to create, manage, and use account types within the portal as a Super Admin. To learn how to manage account types through our JavaScript endpoints, go to CRUD Account Types and CRUD Accounts.

For each section, it is assumed you are logged in as a Super Admin.

Create account type

  1. Go to Account Types
  2. Click Create Account Type
  3. Enter a name and description
  4. Click Save

 

Retrieve account types

  1. Go to Account Types

Update account type

  1. Go to Account Types
  2. Click on account type you want to update

On the Account Type Page, you'll be able to perform the following actions:

  • Edit account type name
  • Edit account type description
  • Delete account type

Delete account type

  1. Go to Account Types
  2. Click on account type you want to delete
  3. Click Delete Account Type

Assign account type to account

  1. Click on Accounts
  2. Click on account you want to modify
  3. Select account type(s) in account type input
  4. Click Save Information

Account type uses

Present different dashboard pages based on account type

    1. Go to Developer > Dashboard Builder, create a New Page or choose an existing one.

    2. Check Allow page for specific account types, choose account type(s) and click Save and Activate Dashboard.

Then this dashboard page will only display for those accounts with specified account type(s)

 

Auto-assign account type(s) when user creates account with self-signup 

    1. Go to Developer > Advanced Config, set ACCOUNT_TYPES_FOR_SELF_SIGNUP

Auto-assign/change account type(s) when user changes billing plans

    1. Go to Developer > Advanced Config, set BILLING_ACCOUNT_TYPE_MAPPING
